I found this image of a gigantic clock in the catalogue of the Great Exhibition and modernised it with a digital display. The polymer printing technique is an ideal method of rendering the elegant tracery of this impressive machine, a triumph of Victorian design.

This seatless chair, firmly held in place by a large rock, was seen half-way up the kilometre-long road from the port to the Monastery which dedicated pilgrims climb on their hands and knees. It seemed a particularly cruel joke to offer such a resting place for the weary faithful.
